Letter to Alumni

Updated: Oct 10, 2025

Dear Friends, Family, Supporters and Alumni,

After over 30 years of being used by God to spread His message of salvation through Jesus Christ in Italy, and we have been privileged to serve alongside organizations, churches, and pastors in this evangelistic effort.

The times we have shared through the years are forever etched in our memories. Some of the memories are hilarious, some scary, some moving, but through it all we saw the faithfulness of God in His work through One Voice (Una Voce). The faithful friends who have hosted us, pastors who have arranged for concerts, and interpreters that have traveled with us have all been used as part of God’s work.

Some of you were part of the early days of working with SEE (Saints Equipped to Evangelize). The times we spent sleeping in barns with scorpions or in a basement with pool floaties as cots, as well as graciously being hosted in the homes of Italian believers. Who could forget long travel days, distributing gospel tracks on cars and apartment buildings, all for the purpose of gathering a crowd to watch mimes, hear the message of Jesus in song, and the spoken message of salvation brought by a local pastor.

Recently, One Voice became a 501 C3 (not for profit) organization. Why? As a nonprofit, One Voice can better manage the direction of the organization without having to rely on a particular church to handle financial and administrative details. Also, we can now receive funds to help cover expected and unexpected expenses throughout the year. Last year (2024), additional funds were needed to cover unexpected expenditures not covered by the team members’ contributions. Fortunately, some local churches in America were able to help meet our needs.

One Voice would ask that you prayerfully consider GOING, GIVING and/or SHARING:

  • GO: We would love for alumni to do a return mission trip to this beautiful country and renew old friendships with team members and Italians.

  • GIVE: We would also ask you to prayerfully consider giving financially. Any gift is appreciated and multiplied by our Great Multiplier. Fuel, rentals, food needs and even lodging may become an unexpected expense. You can give that as a “designated gift” or you could also give funds to “general mission”, where funds are used where they are most needed for the ministry.

  • SHARE: The sharing comes when you go to your church’s leadership or mission committee/GO team and present One Voice as a mission organization to support. If you are willing to do this, One Voice would be happy to send you supporting materials for a presentation or, depending on the church’s location, a board member would be glad to present for you. Many of the alumni have been supported in some fashion by their church but never has One Voice asked to be supported as an organization.

I realize this letter is lengthy, but 30+ years is a long time to reflect and make changes for continuing to live out the Great Commission through this ministry.
